Hi There! This is my first ever blog post & I do not consider myself a writer in the least bit so please forgive the lack of eloquence my posts are sure to deliver. Now that I've gotten that out of the way... the focus of this blog is to document places to visit, things to do & maybe a couple hole in the wall establishments that are off the beaten path throughout this lovely state of Maine.

Inspiration for this blog came to me this morning as I searched online for places to visit (off the beaten path) in the midcoast area specifically. I'll be driving up to Damariscotta today to pick up a big pile of used rope for the lobster rope doormats I make & wanted to make a day trip out of it. I'm not looking for the typical tourist places that everyone knows about... my mission is to find hidden gems. After quite some time google searching, my results were futile & I also ended up draining most of the battery on my iphone.

So you're like me & desire similar experiences then stay tuned.
